Bangladesh vs Pakistan 2nd Test Match Day 4 Highlights​:Off-spinner Sajid Khan claimed 6-35 as Pakistan reduced Bangladesh to 76-7 in their first innings before bad light forced an early stumps on the fourth day of the second Test in Dhaka on Tuesday. Pakistan earlier declared their first innings on 300-4, as Mohammad Rizwan (53 out) and Fawad Alam (50 not out) put 103-run in an unbroken fifth-wicket stand. Pakistan bowlers bowled brilliantly and ushered a sudden collapse to put the home team in a tight spot. Earlier, the visitors had reached 242-4 in their first innings at lunch on the fourth day with Rizwan — who survived two reviews — batting on 26 and Alam 19. Pakistan lost two quick wickets early in the day after yet another delayed start following day three’s complete wash-out at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Only 63.2 overs of play were possible in the first two days because of rain and bad light, with Pakistan reaching 188-2 after electing to bat first. We are back for the action again! Pakistan players are out there in the middle. The opening batters for Bangladesh, Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Shadman Islam are there in the middle too. Shaheen Afridi to start with the ball for Pakistan.
So Pakistan now need 10 wickets and have almost a full day in front of them now. The match now looks heavily in the favour of Pakistan and Bangladesh will have to come out with different tactics if they have to survive till the end of the day.
Shaheen Afridi set the tone with a brilliant first over on Day 4. After that, the spinners Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali bowling in tandem and created pressure from both ends and Sajid Khan eventually took his first five-wicket haul to restrict Bangladesh to 76/7 at the end of Day 4. Sajid Khan took the wicket of Taijul Islam in his very first over on Day 5 and then Shaheen Afridi got rid of Khaled Ahmed in the very next over. Sajid Khan took the final wicket of Shakib Al Hasan and finished with eight wickets in the end. Pakistan have enforced the follow-on with a lead of 213 runs. They are in with a real chance now and Pakistan will be hoping that they can continue their good work from the first innings.
Bangladesh's innings started on the worst possible note as Mahmudul Hasan Joy, the debutant departed for a duck in his first innings. Soon his opening partner followed him and wickets continued to crumble as none of the batters showed the application to spend some time in the middle. They came out with bizarre tactics of going for their shots on every possible opportunity and paid the price in return. Shakib Al Hasan their star all-rounder was their only hope on Day 5 morning but wickets kept falling at the other end and Bangladesh have been bundled out for 87 and Pakistan have enforced the follow-on!
