Team India is being heavily battered by critiques after their horrible batting performance against Bangladesh in the first match of their ongoing 3-match ODI series at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium. The Blues could manage a mere total of only 186 runs in the first innings before losing all their wickets to the hosts. None of the Indian batter, apart from maybe KL Rahul who scored 73 runs, managed to impress the masses in this match. India’s top order totally crumbled down to the Bangladeshi bowlers and the fate of the tailenders were even worse. From what it looks like now, Bangladesh are going to register an easy win over India in this match..
The Pakistani fans were quick to start trolling their arch rivals after their fallout in the match. A Pakistani journalist named Farid Khan tweeted: “India 186 in 41.2 overs. England 192 in 29 overs. One of these is a Test match and the other is an ODI. Crazy”.
He is obviously talking about the test series that is currently being played between Pakistan and England where the English players brought upon complete mayhem in the first innings.
However, the Indian fans were quick with a reply too. They started trolling Pakistan for the dead Rawalpindi pitch. In reality, the pitch of the Rawalpindi stadium has been subjected to a lot of criticism lately. It can clearly be seen that the pitch has no pace or bounce at all and it has got nothing for the bowlers. It is due to this reason that the batsmen are scoring runs on this pitch without any difficulty at all. Thus, it is unfair to compare this match with the one going on between India and Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium.
However, this tweet has ignited a big debate on social media and it is likely to go on for a while now.
