India beat Bangladesh by 188 runs in the first Test of the two-match series at the Zahur Ahmed Chaudhary Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday, December 18. Bangladesh were bowled out for 324 runs in reply to a massive 513-run target set by India. Former cricketer Danish Kaneria believes Pakistan should take inspiration from Bangladesh and play their best game against England in the third Test in Karachi.
Indian bowlers struggled against Bangladesh batters and scored 272 runs for the loss of six wickets at the end of Day 4. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Zakir Hasan added a 124-run first-wicket stand. Zakir made a century on his debut, smashing 100 runs off 224 balls with 13 fours and a six. The visitors wrapped up the batters within an hour on the final day.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Danish Kaneria praised Bangladesh for stretching the first Test against India over five days. He believes that Pakistan have the ability to put England under the same pressure as Bangladesh did against India by extending the game on Day 5.
“Bangladesh put pressure on India by stretching the game to Day 5. No doubt, the game finished in 50 minutes today. Similarly, Pakistan can put England under pressure. We have the capability,” Danish Kaneria said.
The former Pakistan cricketer has suggested that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should learn from the BCCI how to prepare pitches for first-class and international cricket. He opined that the domestic players were being given contrasting tracks, hence the series losses against Australia and England at home.
“Pakistan didn’t had the experience to counter the attack against England because we prepare grassy tracks in domestic cricket, but in international cricket, there is no grass.”
“A lot of things differentiate. In India, they prepare square turners and stick to that pitch in international cricket. Things are equal, unlike in Pakistan.”
