Pakistan are hoping for a consolation victory in the third and final test of a three-match series at the National Stadium in Karachi. The Men in Green lost their first two matches in Rawalpindi and Multan by 74 and 26 runs, respectively. Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi believes that fast bowler Hasan Ali can still make a comeback.
Pakistan’s fast bowling has always been their biggest strength, but they are now missing the services of star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. The left-arm bowler is recovering from an injury sustained in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 final. The Men in Green had a chance to win two matches, but they failed to capitalize and fell short.

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has revealed that he regularly messages Hasan Ali to motivate him to return to the national team. Speaking on Sama TV, Afridi said it is important to support the players, especially when they are not performing well, as they are national heroes.
“Hasan Ali is not in the team. But I know he has performed well for Pakistan. I don’t want people to forget him. I still talk to him, message him and tell him to not lose hope. I tell him to make a comeback and take domestic cricket seriously,” Shahid Afridi said.
“As a senior player, it’s your responsibility to support your juniors. Everyone is with you in your good times, but it’s important to give support during bad times too. These are Pakistan’s heroes, if we don’t support them, who will?” he added.
Hasan Ali has played 21 Tests, 60 ODIs, and 50 T20Is for Pakistan since his debut in 2016. He was named Player of the Tournament in the Champions Trophy in 2017. He was dropped from the team after the Asia Cup earlier this year. Hasan came under fire after dropping Matthew Wade’s regular catch in the T20 World Cup 2021 semi-final.
