England registered their first Test series win on Pakistani soil since 2000 as they won the series with one match to spare and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Former Pakistan captain Mohsin Khan has criticized head coach Saqlain Mushtaq for saying that the team will now go for a consolation win in the third Test after losing the series.
The Ben Stokes-led England have completely outplayed Pakistan in the first two matches of the ongoing Test series. While there is no doubt that the two matches were closely contested, the Pakistan cricket team and its coaches were under fire after deciding the fate of the series.

Mohsin Khan slammed Pakistan coach Saqlain Mushtaq, saying that instead of discussing where the team is going wrong, he now wants a consolation victory.
“Instead of talking about where we are going wrong, he is now talking about a consolation win. What sort of a coach is Saqlain?” former Test batter and ex-chief selector and head coach Mohsin Khan said.
Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has stated that captain Babar Azam is not taking advice from veteran players in terms of strategy and planning.
“As a captain, I always felt one had to be a good leader and that was possible by uniting all the players. It means that you should discuss your plans with seniors. When you start taking advice from outsiders and not involve seniors, issues come (up),” Afridi said on a TV channel.
Pakistan will take on England in the third and final test of the three-match series at the National Stadium in Karachi on Saturday, December 17.
