Salman Butt remarked that Pakistan’s three-match Test series against England at home made them appear “clueless” in every area. The visitors destroyed Pakistan 0-3; it was the first time they had blanked them in a Test series at home, and it marked a new low for Pakistan.
The third and final Test in Karachi saw England resume Day 4 in perfect control at 112/2, needing 167 to win. Ben Stokes (35*), the team’s captain, and Ben Duckett (82*) easily led the visitors beyond the winning line.

With their victory in Karachi, England finished the Test series by completely destroying Pakistan. In Rawalpindi and Multan, they had previously defeated the hosts by 74 and 26 runs, respectively. Butt offered the following analysis of Pakistan’s dismal performance in the Test series on his YouTube channel:
“Pakistan appeared to have no idea how to choose players or prepare a pitch, for example. They didn’t have any plans at all. They didn’t even appear to have a plan for the type of cricket they would play” Salman Butt said.

Salman Butt stated that the visiting team was missing some key players yet still managed to pull off a historic win: “England was far from full strength. Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, and Stuart Broad did not play. Nonetheless, Pakistan was whitewashed in a humiliating way.”
Butt slammed the Pakistan selectors after the 0-3 loss, questioning their involvement and the logic behind some of their decisions.
“Selectors must consider the type of work they are performing. What type of team did they put together for the T20 World Cup? Their spinner selection in the Test series was baffling. Why didn’t Nauman Ali play in the previous Tests? There are numerous questions to be answered. “Who will be held accountable?” Salman Butt said.
Half-centuries from captain Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel put Pakistan in a respectable position in the second innings after they scored 304 in the first innings in Karachi and held England to 354 despite Brook’s 111. However, the hosts fell from 164/3 to 216 all out, giving England a manageable target of 167 to secure a 3-0 victory.
