Former Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Salman Butt has shared his views on Babar Azam’s comments at the press conference after Pakistan’s defeat against England in the Multan Test.
After thrashing Pakistan in the Rawalpindi Test, fearless England went on to defeat Babar Azam & Co. by 26 runs in the second Test at Multan Cricket Stadium inside four days to seal the series.

England played their aggressive game in the second Test and gave a target of 355 to Pakistan. The Pakistan batters did a better job in the 4th innings of the match, but English pacer Mark Wood proved to be the difference-maker as he bagged 4 wickets to help England bundle out Pakistan for 328.
In a video shared on his official YouTube channel, Salman Butt remarked that the Pakistan captain was overly diplomatic at the post-match press conference and was afraid of making honest comments.

What’s the use of such press conferences where the person is only bothered about not hurting anybody with his comments? Don’t you have your own opinions on anything? What is the use of all the big world titles when you are too scared to express your opinions? This is not leadership,” he said.
The 38-year-old further said that “leadership doesn’t come with experience” and only Pakistan cricket fans and experts feel that a skipper can get better with experience. He stated:
“Leadership doesn’t come with experience. Many players have been captains since their first match itself. Ben Stokes has captained just nine matches and won eight of them. Only in Pakistan do we say that the skipper will learn with time. Professionalism is lacking completely.”
