Aakash Chopra believes that if England continues to play aggressively in the home Ashes series next year, they will lose.
On Monday, December 5, Ben Stokes and the company defeated Pakistan by 74 runs in the first Test at Rawalpindi. They scored at an incredible rate in both innings and bowled out the hosts for 268 on a dead final-day surface after setting them a 343-run total.

Aakash Chopra expressed his skepticism about a similar strategy from England working against Australia in a video posted to his YouTube channel, explaining:
“If they (England) keep playing like this, it will be fun. The Ashes test will go well because if you play this style of cricket there, you might frequently wind up on the losing side. If that occurs, your perspective can occasionally alter, and you won’t act as positive while you’re losing the Ashes.”

Aakash Chopra had nothing but admiration for England for squeezing a victory from a surface that wouldn’t cooperate.
“A match won on a field that resembled a road is praiseworthy. As soon as you view the pitch, you predict that there won’t be a winner. They scored 500 runs on the first day after you start from that vantage position.”
Aakash Chopra lauded Stokes for his audacious declaration during the second innings, saying:
“Finally, they made a declaration that could have cost them the match. Stokes has stated that they do not want a draw. What they are doing for Test cricket is incredible. Bangladesh knocked them out of ODI and T20 cricket in 2015 at the Adelaide Oval. They have done an absolutely brilliant job.”
On the first day of the Rawalpindi Test, England scored 506/4. The visitors scored 657 runs in their first innings in just 101 overs because of the ruthless centuries of Zak Crawley (122), Ben Duckett (107), Ollie Pope (108), and Harry Brook (153).
